Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care focuses on the musculoskeletal and nervous system. It is a hands-on, non-invasive discipline that deals with what causes the problem rather than examining the symptoms present. Chiropractors specialize in improving the range and motion of flexibility by accurate and gentle manipulation of the spine. Chiropractic care is often the preferred treatment when it comes to conditions such as lower back and neck pain.

What a Chiropractor Does

A chiropractor usually diagnoses, treats and also provides preventive care for medical conditions related to the spine, nervous system, pelvis and joints. Once a patient’s full medical history is studied, supported by radiological, neurological and orthopedic examinations, the chiropractor prepares a comprehensive treatment plan. Certain non-invasive therapies may be advised accompanied by counselling-based nutrition, diet and lifestyle which may vary from patient to patient. Therapies may include medical acupuncture along with postural re-training, rehabilitation exercises and active release techniques.

A chiropractor may be consulted for the following cases:

→ Neck pain

→ Back pain

→ Whiplash

→ Headache

→ Repetitive strain injury (RSI)

→ Strains and sprains

→ Arthritis

→ Work/sports injury

→ Limited motion in the back, shoulder, neck or limbs

→ General health and well-being
